The Warriors take Game 1 of the Best of 5 game series with a score of 3 - 1 over the defending Champion Devon Barons. The Warriors travel to Devon tonight for Game 2 and then home again on Wednesday March 18/15 for Game 3. Both games the puck drop is 8:30 pm. The Warriors out shot the Barons 49 - 27 and dominated the majority of the play. The Warriors had a few chances to make the score farther apart with 2 or 3 posts, but just couldn't capitalize on the power play. "This series is going to be tough and it proved that way in this first game and we expected that from Devon. We didn't have our best game for sure last night, but we got the first game gitters behind us and we will come stronger in game 2. Last night Chris Kuhar made a few key saves that kept the Barons from getting on the scoreboard and that was huge for us. Since stepping into to play for Marcus Johnson in the 3rd period of game 1 against Whitecourt, I would say thus far Chris has been one of our outstanding players in the playoffs, said Coach Kuhar." We want to thank all the fan support we received last night it was huge and was our largest fan turn out in the last 2 years. Come cheer us on in Devon and again Wednesday night will be big and that fan support will be even more key. GO WARRIORS GO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
